Rev. Teresa Burton
Daily Word Editor
In 2012 Teresa’s Unity education began in earnest. She delved enthusiastically into the Unity Spiritual Education and Enrichment program and then deepened her studies through the Unity Leadership Development curriculum.
Teresa was licensed as a Unity teacher in 2014 and served Unity San Francisco in several capacities as she prepared to enter Unity Institute and Seminary in 2015. As part of her seminary education, Teresa served as a volunteer member of Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital’s multifaith chaplaincy program.
A natural communicator, Teresa has enjoyed a career in publishing for more than 20 years during which she has held a variety of roles in magazine and newspaper publishing.
Teresa kept abreast of the latest clinical, pharmacological, and regulatory news affecting the medical community as a member of the editorial team at the International Medical News Group. She edited Skin & Allergy News, an award-winning dermatology newspaper, before making the leap to web and wire editing, becoming proficient with website management and online content creation as well as the dissemination of content via social media.
Prior to that, Teresa grew in expertise in magazine publishing and motorcoach tourism and travel as the associate editor of Destinations, the monthly publication of the American Bus Association. Along the way, her eclectic background and interests have led to opportunities to edit material for the National Gallery of Art, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, in addition to a variety of legal content.
Originally from the East Coast and most recently from the West, Teresa now calls the Kansas City area home. She enjoys film, cooking and baking, and time spent with friends and animals.
