Empathy
With understanding, I honor our common purpose.

When I encounter differing opinions or personal disputes, I choose to see beyond the outward appearance of conflict and notice the commonality. We all want the best for ourselves and those we love. I resist the impulse to take offense. Instead, I focus on God's unconditional love. Demonstrating love in my thoughts, words and actions, I see disagreements dissolve into empathy and understanding.

If mistakes have been made, I bless them and look for the lesson to be learned. My outlook remains positive. With God's unconditional love as my example, I honor my divine nature and the divine nature of all others.

For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.--Proverbs 2:6

Crossroads

I'm there right now. At another crossroads in my life, wanting to move forward, but not sure in what direction to go. I am trusting in the Universe to bring me exactly what I need, when I need it to help me find the right path for me.

Yes I am Back!

When I was a child my mother told me about daily word and gave me the books to read when she was finished. I have been on a spsiritual search ever since. These books took me to Edgar Cayce and I have never felt comfortable in regular churches since. I have been babtist, methodist, united church of christ but have never really felt right. In finding the Unity website recently I realized that this is really where my beliefs are and where I feel comfortable. I am glad to be back home.

Welcome Back

One thing I love about Unity is that everyone is welcome and respected. Unity can be a supplement to any faith. Thank you for posting!

Today's WORD

When I was a teenager, experiencing alot of strife and emotional upheaval, my grandmother gave me the daily word....and it has been in and out of my life since. Recently I recieved in the mail "Develop 12 spiritual poweres in 12 months", so I have been working with them, then from a totally different direction I ended up in a Unity church via a friend, and in all these reminders, I come today, to sign up for the daily word email and it is right on target. There is a choice in each moment, really, whom shall ye serve. That which often is pulling at us in the downward spiral or that which is ascending, inspirational with positive vibration....Thank You...It is good to be home.

Welcome Home

Welcome Home Susan! Thank you for posting.

Protected

As I read today's message, it was right on time with where I am today. As I woke this morning I was down in out about my situation. About my health, finance, and family. I was depressed, but I got up and started praising God, with thanksgiving, honoring Him, and declaring His love for me and pleading the Blood of Jesus over all of my problems. When I read today's message it was conformation from God that I am on the right road now and standing in His Will. The Bible tells us: "For a spirit of heaviness put on a garment of praise." THANK YOU!! GOD I AM WEARING MY GARMENT OF PRAISE TODAY!!!.

I felt the same way this

I felt the same way this mourning but i know that God will see me through whatever.

Never alone

It's so good to know we are never alone. Thank you both for sharing. Be well and God's blessings to you.

miracles or preplan

Before the earth was created God knew us and knew our lives. He knew our circumstances, our reaction, and our end before we were born into the world. He created us. Therefore when prayers are answered or miracles are perceived was that a change of God's plan, a change of His mind, reward for asking? God's plan never changes.
Prayers are said in praise and to give thanks to God for requests already known and planned before our time on earth. By faith we acknowledge that God is in control and will not change His plan because we want change. Infirmity, poverty, lack are opportunities for us to overcome through faith in God's word. They are used to build character, obedience, endurance for God's work. Only God will give you what He wants you to have in order to do His bidding. If you don't get what you want as you want it, do you have a tantrum of disbelief that God doesn't answer prayer. It's already been answered. Your answer is in Scripture. Walking the path, that God has made for you, in patience for growth and time to understand may uncover a greater reward than the one you want. Stay the path and keep looking. The Holy Spirit resides within you. It is your guide.
Focus on the "within" not the "without".

Pray For Others

A very dear friend, someone who is like a mother to me is dying. I got a chance to say farewell, but most important I was able to say I love you. Her niece is moving her to West Virginia to spend her final days with her. Marilyn no longer wants to see anyone. Therefore I am grateful for the time we spent together. My prayer:

It is time to rest...
You lived your life with zest...
I learned from you how to explore...
Your adventures filled me with inspiration galore...
You loved my poetry and always did encourage me...
With words so beautiful filled with gratitude for me to see...
Thank you for being a part of my life dear one...
Now fly up to the heavens, past the moon and the sun!

Blessings,
Gail
