A Source of Comfort

Back in January, our daughter became sick with Influenza A and was transferred from our local hospital to a hospital in Iowa City. She was in intensive care for two and a half weeks in an induced coma. The doctors reminded us each day of the critical state she was in. During those weeks, she developed internal bleeding, which required surgery.

While staying in Iowa City, I made sure that Daily Word accompanied us. Every morning, I would be anxious to read the message and share it with my husband. It was a big source of comfort and strength, which allowed us to get through yet another day. The readings were just what we needed and an inspiration to not give up. We truly believe in the power of prayer and during that time had many praying for us.

Our daughter was released after three and a half weeks and is now back to work full time. Blessings!
